BIGFOOT UNCOVERED · THE UNCENSORED CASE FILES

Ten Bigfoot Attacks Too Graphic for YouTube, Told in Full

I tell Bigfoot stories on YouTube, but YouTube's rules won't let me describe these ten cases the way the old newspapers and books recorded them: the bodies, the wounds, the wrecked camps. So I put them in a book, uncensored. These are real historical reports from 1829 to 1924, given in full, with what was reported, the official explanation, why researchers point to Bigfoot, and what still doesn't fit. You get the 254-page illustrated PDF, a phone edition, and the full 4h 5m audiobook read by me.

Too Graphic for YouTube, So I Wrote the Book

I tell Bigfoot stories on my channel, and some of the oldest, strangest cases are also the most brutal. A trapper found with his neck broken and four fang marks in his throat. Lumbermen found mangled and torn in the Maine woods. A hunter dragged from his saddle with an eye clawed out. Every time I tried to bring these cases to YouTube, I hit the same wall: the platform's rules won't let me show or describe them the way the period record does. I could tell you something happened, but not what the record actually says.

So I took them off YouTube and put them in a book, uncensored. I went back to the sources: Theodore Roosevelt's The Wilderness Hunter, the Milledgeville Statesman, the San Francisco Call, the 1924 Ape Canyon coverage and more. These are real historical reports, not fiction, and I give the bodies, the wounds and the wrecked camps as they were printed.

I don't soften these stories, and I don't dress them up either. I laid each case out the same honest way: what was printed, what the officials said, why researchers keep coming back to it, and the parts that refuse to fit either side. Where a case was probably a frontier tall tale, I tell you so. Where a reprint changed the story, I show you both versions. What's left is the uncensored record, and the questions it still leaves us with.

What's inside

Inside the Case Files

Thirteen chapters: an opening on why these cases couldn't be told on YouTube and how to read the old reports, ten case files from 1829 to 1924, a chapter comparing them all, and a full list of sources.

Chapter 1

1. Opening the Files

Why these cases kept hitting a wall on YouTube, how each case file is built, and how to read old newspapers with care, from wire reprints to outright hoaxes.
Chapter 2

2. The Bauman Story

Theodore Roosevelt's 1893 account of two trappers on the Bitterroot divide: the ransacked camp, the circling tracks, and the partner found dead with four fang marks in his throat.
Chapter 3

3. The Okefenokee Swamp Giant

The Milledgeville Statesman's 1829 report of giant footprints, five hunters killed and a thirteen-foot giant brought down, set against the strong case that it was a frontier tall tale.
Chapter 4

4. A Terror in the Woods

The San Francisco Call's 1895 report of lumbermen found mangled and torn near the West Branch camps of Maine, including the man who fought the thing off with his axe.
Chapter 5

5. Headless Valley

The McLeod brothers' disappearance on the South Nahanni River and their reportedly headless remains, with the record sorted from the legend and the official explanations weighed.
Chapter 6

6. The Moosehead Lake Wild Man

An 1886 account of a camper found dead and a posse that killed a ten-foot hairy wild man, and the question of where the corpse went.
Chapter 7

7. The Fannin County Wild Man

An 1873 north Georgia report of an eight-foot wild man, a carried-off woman and a mounted posse, and how a later reprint changed the story.
Chapter 8

8. The Red River Mauling

An 1856 report, printed again in 1865, of a hunter dragged from his saddle, an eye clawed out and flesh bitten from his shoulders, with both printings compared.
Chapter 9

9. The Gallipolis Wild Man

The 1869 Ohio attack on a carriage, told blow by blow as printed, until the man's daughter struck the creature with a rock.
Chapter 10

10. The Hancock Wild Man

July 1895 in New York: a seven-foot wild man throws farmer John Cook thirty feet across his yard and makes off with his best pig.
Chapter 11

11. The Mountain Devils of Ape Canyon

Five miners besieged all night near Mount St. Helens in 1924, Fred Beck knocked unconscious, and every explanation offered since.
Chapter 12

12. What the Files Have in Common

All ten cases side by side, separating patterns that point to a real animal from those that point to papers copying and embroidering each other.
Chapter 13

13. Sources

The newspapers, books and archives behind every case file, with notes on single-source cases, changed reprints and where to find digitised originals.

About Me

I'm Daniel Hopkins, and I run Bigfoot Uncovered. On the channel I tell Bigfoot encounter stories, and the historical cases have always been the ones that pull me in the hardest, even when YouTube's rules meant I couldn't tell them in full.

This book is what I've wanted to share for a long time: the old reports as they were really printed, read carefully, with the doubts and the official explanations right next to the parts that still don't add up. I'm not here to tell you what to believe. I'm here to put the record in front of you and let you judge.

“I don't soften these stories, and I don't invent anything. You get the record as it was printed, and the questions it still leaves.”

Questions

Are these real cases or fiction?

They're real historical reports, not fiction. Every case comes from newspapers and books published between 1829 and 1924, including Theodore Roosevelt's The Wilderness Hunter, the Milledgeville Statesman, the San Francisco Call and the 1924 Ape Canyon coverage, and the book gives those accounts in full. It doesn't claim the attacks are proven: each file gives the official explanations and the doubts, and some cases are very likely tall tales or hoaxes, which I say plainly. The sources chapter lists them all so you can check the originals yourself.

Why couldn't these go on YouTube?

I tell Bigfoot stories on the channel, but YouTube's rules won't let me show or describe these cases the way the old newspapers and books recorded them: the bodies, the wounds, the wrecked camps. The book has no such limits, so it gives the record uncensored.

How graphic is it?

It gives the injuries and deaths as the period sources described them, including broken necks, mangled bodies and a clawed-out eye. It's written for adults who want the full record.

Are the pictures real photographs?

Some are. Where we found real photographs, we put them in. Where nothing else exists, we added our own recreated illustrations, made with AI, to help you picture the scene and make the cases more immersive. Those recreations are labelled as recreations: they aren't period photographs or evidence.

What devices can I read and listen on?

The PDF opens on any computer, tablet or e-reader that reads PDFs, and the phone edition is laid out with bigger type for small screens. The audiobook files play on phones, computers and most audio players.

How do I get the book?

After your payment goes through you get access to download the PDF, the phone edition and the audiobook files. If anything goes wrong, email [email protected].

What if I don't like it?

Email [email protected] within 7 days of buying and you'll get a full refund.

Is the book connected to any researcher, estate or agency?

No. The channel and book are not affiliated with or endorsed by any researcher, their family or estate, or any park, government agency, scientific institution or other organization mentioned.
